Gaia

An hypothesis maintains that the planet where we live could be no more than an alive self-regulating being and they have called it GAIA (was the goodess of the Earth in greek ancient mythology). Gaia is composed by organisms that make the whole, the macroorganism of the planet. These are the Animal, Vegetal and Mineral realms... each with its different cells that should carry out its functions in its right place, for the balance of the Earth. When it gets imbalanced, then Illness appears in its ecosystems, and the environmental problems succeed.
